Stable community setup: Slow Grenade + Cannon or Laser for lane pressure, with Tesla Coils clustered around the center. For Four-tified, add one complementary damage tower and use no abilities.
Build around the four funnels
The release-build Four-tified discussion repeatedly recommends placing the defense close enough to the central objective that each tower covers a predictable funnel. This reduces the number of side passages you must defend and lets rear Tesla Coils reach survivors from more than one lane.
- Mark all four approaches. Do not spend heavily until every lane has at least one planned control or firing point.
- Slow before damage. Aim Slow Grenades where a lane begins to compress, then place the main damage behind that point.
- Cross-fire Cannons. Point each Cannon into a lane so the projectile travels through a line of orcs and can still cover a second approach if traffic shifts.
- Keep Tesla in the inner ring. The Coil is cleanup here; placing it too far forward makes it engage the horde instead of catching leaks.
- Watch for a stuck or displaced crowd. Adjust grenade or explosive arcs rather than adding uncontrolled knockback everywhere.
Recommended roles
Two per troubled lane is a common starting point; adjust after the first leak.
Cannon likes straight traffic. Laser likes reliable walls and repeated crossings.
Fill the gap between control pulses and heavier shots.
Cluster near the center where a Coil can react to more than one leak.
Launch-week resource exploit report
A player reported that an empty Level 6.1 run could award resources after orcs entered the center almost immediately. That is a community-reported launch bug, not part of this strategy, and it may be patched without notice.
If the layout still leaks
- Move control closer to the first reliable compression point.
- Rotate Cannons to fire along the lane instead of into its side.
- Move Teslas backward if they are spending attacks on the main wave.
- Upgrade the four selected roles before adding a fifth overlapping tower type.
