Build the kill box
- Find compression. Use a corner, narrow gap or converging routes where more orcs occupy less space.
- Slow before damage. Place control where it increases time inside every later firing arc.
- Cross the lane. Aim penetration, sweeps or Laser gates through the crowd instead of along empty edges.
- Separate cleanup. Put flexible rear damage far enough back that it targets survivors rather than competing with the main line.
- Read the failure. A full-lane break needs more control or lane damage; scattered single leaks need better cleanup.
Flamethrower + Mortar
Reddit players repeatedly describe Flamethrower and Mortar as a strong choke-point pair, followed by Cannons or Gunners covering the survivors. Treat that as a community-tested pattern, not a promise that it is optimal on every map. If Mortar knockback pushes orcs beyond another firing arc, rotate or reduce that coverage.
Why this is not a fake tier list
The current official sources do not publish a complete full-game stat table with every damage value, cooldown and upgrade cost. A fixed S/A/B ranking would hide map geometry and invent precision. This page instead answers the “best towers” query by explaining which job each reported tower performs and how to diagnose the weak layer.
